Dear Family & Friends, we are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and support for our family and Jeffrey. We are sorry for the long-over-due update. It is with a heavy heart we let you know Jeffrey is in hospice at a wonderful facility in Pittsburgh. We will update you when the time comes to bring him home. As such, we are closing the GoFundMe page from receiving additional donations. The entire Gabriel family is so appreciative for the generosity of hundreds of people in support of our sweet Jeff.

Family, Friends, Teammates & Teachers, An update from Jeff's Family 12/5: "Jeff's surgeries went well yesterday." The Ortho team was able to put rods in leg, arm and pelvis.   Another team was able to put "facial plates in to repair  his jaw and cheek bones."  He remained stable thru the surgeries, albeit "he is still very critical" .  Thursday there will be a procedure that "will provide a comprehensive view of possible internal injuries." They will also be doing an MRI on his brain as he sustained head trauma during the accident.  The Gabriel's  are reading these lovely notes as much as they can. "We are beyond words to describe what we are feeling- all these kind caring people, their prayers & notes". The US Mail is being forwarded- they will be receiving it daily to a local PO closer to where the family is staying.   Additional messages  are being received to  the gmail address [email redacted] Keep up the prayers, love and messages of hope!  Late Friday evening, November 30th, 2018 Jeff Gabriel was victim of a terrible car accident in Pittsburgh. Jeff has multiple compound fractures, a broken pelvis,  skull fractures, and sustained head trauma and remains in critical condition in the ICU at Mercy Hospital, Univ of Pittsburgh. How can I help?: As Jeff's body begins a long road to recovering and rebuilding, so many of our loving connected community have reached out for information on a way to help Jeff and his family. That is our mission with this GO FUND ME. To help with filling the gaps for medical bills, lodging, travel expenses from home  to Pittsburgh, meals and everything that might come up.  Can I send a Note? Currently Jeff's family has arranged with the Post Office to continue to receive cards & letters of support addressed to Jeff and his family at their home address, and they will be forwarded by Post Office to their extended stay residence in the Pittsburgh area.  ( email messages can be sent to [email redacted]) Our time line has just begun, Today is Jeff's 3rd day in the hospital, our plan is to continue to update Jeff's Story and help his family through GO FUND ME. This amazing web of connected people give hope and strength to Jeff's family. In talking to Jeff's Mom her first words are of her thanks to his friends for their loving messages, to everyone who has reached out to them, and they are continuing to "Feel all this LOVE".  Lets keep it coming!
