Temple Police Officer Christopher Gallup died on Friday May 25, 2018 in Temple to the devastation of our community, family and his blue family. Officer Gallup joined the US Air Force in October 2006 and served until September 2012. During this time he served tours of duty in Afghanistan and Korea. He was a US Army National Guardsman from 2012 to present, with a rank of Sergeant. He was a police officer with the US Veterans Affairs Police department from March 24, 2013 through January 10, 2015. He served with the Temple Police Department from January 2015 until his passing.  He is survived by his wife and five children who he strived to care for every day.  Officers within the Temple Police Department now have a family they want to provide monetary assistance to.
