Jerry's pancreatic cancer fund

My name is Jerry Anderson. I'm a 59 year old single man who recently received the word nobody wants to hear and that word is cancer. 2 weeks ago I was suffering from severe abdominal pains and cramping and ended up making a trip to the ER during the night as the pains became unbearable. After a couple days in the hospital and a series of tests, they discovered cancer of the pancreas. Fortunately for me, it was discovered at an early enough stage where there is an option for treatment that includes chemotherapy and a surgical process known as the Whipple procedure. I have had a chemo port installed and will be receiving my first dose of chemo next week. I should be able to continue to work, but it may be in a more limited role and definitely fewer hours with all the time I will be spending in the clinic and hospital. In approximately 3 months I will undergo the 8 hour surgical process, followed by 10 days to 2 weeks of hospitalization. After being released it will require an extensive time to recover. Thankfully my dear brother, Paul, and sister in law, Len, have stepped up and offered to let me recover in their home. After my recovery I will be going back to more chemo treatments for a few months, and hopefully in August or September this will all be over. I have a good job with great insurance, but I will still be responsible for several thousand dollars in deductibles and copays. I have a short term disability policy at work that will kick in for my hospitalization and recovery. But it's a fraction of my normal paycheck. I do have a little money in savings, but I can already see that won't take long to deplete. I really had to swallow my pride to decide to take this route, but I don't really have anywhere else to turn. So if my friends, family, and wrestling fans, that have known me as Mago of The High Rollers for the past 26 years, could help in anyway I will be forever grateful to you. And if you can't, I totally understand, just please keep me in your thoughts and prayers during my battle. Even just sharing this page would mean so much. Thank you for reading my story. I hope I can make it through all this with a positive attitude and find the strength to overcome this. I am lucky enough to have a large circle of support and you will all play a key role in my fight. Bless you all!!!!
