Homeless in San Diego
Hello!
I am Orlando Barahona, a seeker and a shipwrecked soul building a solution to eradicate homelessness in San Diego, California.
This campaign will raise funds to build the first model home in a modular housing colony concept using shipping containers.
Check out my latest OpEd for the San Diego Free Press: San Diego Bureaucracy vs. The Homeless People .
After the closing of my digital marketing business in 2013 and confronting irreconcilable family differences when I landed in San Diego to rebuild my life, I became homeless in 2014.
San Diego is a beautiful city, but I've experienced the rough side of living here. After two years of participating in housing programs, the experiences inspired a housing and business plan for the City of San Diego: Las Casitas Tiny Homes Village
My goal is to raise funds to open the showroom and model flagship home on a property in San Diego through a synergy with a recovery program to educate a workforce of homeless men and women, to offer an affordable and profitable housing solution for countless San Diegans in search of a better life.
I am an activist against homelessness and homeless outreach volunteer for HISD.LIFE . In my spare time, I'm developing an employment and housing model I wish to present to The Mayor of San Diego, Kevin Faulconer via Dropbox: Las Casitas 2017 . My purpose in life is to help others achieve a human quality of life. I need your help to reach this goal.
Sincerely yours,
Orlando
