History of Lake Burton Book

Tax deductible
In August, 2020, Lake Burton will celebrate its Centennial.  In addition, Rabun County and the lost town of Burton will celebrate its Bicentennial.  This book will tell in word and picture the history of the town of Burton, Lake Burton, and the Upper Tallulah Valley.  Using historical sources, personal interviews, available photographs, some not seen before, and even tall tales, the legacy of this beautiful area that we all love will be told.  The projected cost of the book is $35.  Pre-orders can be taken with your donation, while extra monies will help us get the book into print.  Only 1200 copies will be printed.  Profits from the book will go to the support of the Lake Burton Civic Association.
