Hit & Run Victim- Nicole & Family
UPDATE: We were able to retrieve video footage of the vehicle that caused the accident. Through the help of local body shops we have identified it as a White, 2006-2011 Ford Explorer. See below photo. We would also like to thank Sydney Kern at WBRZ in Baton Rouge for interviewing Nicole and running a story about her accident, WBRZ News Story Please share the photo and video, we want to remove this dangerous person from the road before she hurts someone else.
We are currently seeking information on the hit and run driver who caused the accident which could have killed Nicole and the occupants of the other vehicle involved. (Details of Accident on Facebook) Hopefully we will be able to locate the driver and thankfully everyone is alive. We have been advised that the driver who fled the scene of the accident did so for one of two reasons, they were uninsured or they were scared, meaning that our insurance may be the only means of recovery.
Insurance only covers so much and we will have bills to pay and a replacement vehicle to pay for. Due to the extent of her injuries, we are unsure of when Nicole will be able to return to work so we are asking for financial help to get us through the next month of bills and begin saving to pay for a replacement vehicle.
In December we had to use our savings to replace our other vehicle due to another negligent driver. We had started to rebuild our savings prior to the most recent accident, but last Thursday I had to use it to replace the tires on our Pilot, which unfortunately we were only able to use for three days prior to the accident and they are now gone. A small price to pay to still have Nicole with us, but it's just an example of how things are going for us currently.
If you are unable to help financially, but know of someone who may be able to work with us on buying a car with a very limited budget, that would also be very much appreciated.
