Hoekstra Family Relief

Sadly, the Hoekstra family is suddenly facing a devastating situation. Ian, proud father of three beautiful children and loving husband to Kelly, fell ill over the Christmas holidays with a cold. Fast forward literally a matter of weeks later and he is being rushed to Sunnybrook's critical care unit and put on life support. Thankfully, he is currently breathing on his own but has now been given a new diagnosis, of stage 4 cancer. His loving wife, Kelly is now sitting day and night beside his hospital bed, hoping and praying for a miracle. 
 
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and wife, Kelly has always poured effort and love into our community. She has been a long-time children’s mental health worker, giving selflessly to improve the lives of children and youth in our community.  Ian (known to many as Hoss) is not only an incredibly hard worker but he is also a great friend to many. 
 
In addition to facing this massive medical battle, the Hoekstra family is also facing significant financial struggles, with both Kelly and Ian being off work at this time.
