HOPE for HopeSpring

Donation protected
Recently, HopeSpring’s Board of Directors made the difficult decision that it was no longer financially possible to keep the Centre open.  Unfortunately, traditional funding from individual donors, corporations and foundations hasn’t kept pace with our operating costs, and government funding isn’t available.  The Centre will close on March 31 unless long-term, sustainable funding can be raised by February 27.

After our decision was announced in January, many people asked us to reconsider and offered to help.  The Board decided to undertake a final campaign, Hope for HopeSpring, to try and raise long-term, stable financial support.   The deadline for this campaign is February 27.  On February 27, HopeSpring’s Board of Directors will meet to assess the success of our February Hope for HopeSpring fund-raising campaign.  In that meeting the Board will decide whether we have the means to continue operations, or if the decision stands to close on March 31.

HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre has been there for patients, caregivers and families of those facing cancer in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area for 21 years. We provide all our services to these individuals for free as cancer can be a financially crippling diagnosis.

Please help us continue to help them.
