Hope for Paxton
Paxton Uhlis is a beautiful 5 year old boy who has Chiari Malformation. Chiari is rarely discussed in the world of neurology, but it is a condition that can steal your life and damage your quality of life. A day in the life of Paxton would start out with a pain management regimine. Somedays he gets up and sometimes he can't. He has headaches every single day and sometimes up to 3-4 a day. He went from being active in soccer and football to now climbing over the obstacle of everyday walking and moving. Paxton will face numerous surgeries in his lifetime. This is a lifelong illness. His first Chiari surgery was unsuccessful and now he is in more pain than ever. His upcoming surgery will deal with the Chiari Malformation and opening the dura. Not only does Pax have Chiari but he also suffers from a bent brainstem, seizure disorder, autism, and ADD. All of these temporarily hinder what he can do but will never limit who he is or his future.
Medical expenses add up extremely fast and the Uhlis' are facing a ton of them. Please give from your heart.
