My Hot Dog and Chili Cart Start Up

This Go Fund Me is about much more than hot dogs. My love of cooking began the first time my mother let me help her in the kitchen. My passion for it has continued to grow over the years.

I have been seriously contemplating starting my own business for the past two years. I have done research, and spoke to people who are entrepeneurs themselves. I know that it is a monumental task, and that money is only a small, albeit significant part of the process. 

The reason that I have decided to come to you all asking for help, or my "why" is my children. I have three kids, Cecilia, Danny, and Bridget.  They are 6, 4, and 3 years old respectively. The reason that I say they are my "why" isn't because I need this business to provide for them. The reason I want to do this is so that I can be a more positive role model in their lives. 

I don't want them to grow up having watched me go to a job, collect a check, come home, cook dinner, and go to bed for the next 20 years. I want them to see that you can try to do something for yourself. You don't have to punch a clock, sell your hours for dollars, or sell your soul to make a living. I don't want them to see a guy living with regret, because he never took a chance to do something that he loved.

Even if I fail, which is entirely possible, I want them to see that failure won't kill them. I want them to see that you can fail, and it may suck, but at least you can say that you tried.
