Houssam Berry

Houssam “Sam” Berry immigrated to Dearborn, MI from Lebanon in 2015. Shortly thereafter he gained part-time employment with the City of Dearborn as a neighborhood field inspector. He has worked tirelessly to support his wife and five children. However, in July, Houssam was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Since joining the City, Houssam has positively impacted colleagues, residents, and businesses. His approach is rooted in compassion for the neighbors and a genuine interest in serving the community. Unfortunately, this diagnosis means his concern is now with his health and providing for his family. The high cost of treatment coupled with supporting his family on a reduced income has led to financial instability.

We want to help Houssam’s family by ensuring the financial security to pay for basic needs, such as food, shelter, utilities, transportation, and school supplies. To help with this battle, we will be hosting a fundraiser in addition to this GoFundMe page.

The event will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Dearborn's Hemlock Park  from 5 PM to 9 PM.  The event will include food, beverages, prizes and much more.

All you can eat food and drink will be provided by Byblo's Banquet Hall & Joe Bazzi . Admission is $20 per person.
