Hi! I'm Kayla and I love Africa! But not just Africa, the people, more specifically the kiddos, all of them. But, I have this special place in my heart for five. Jane, Betty, Rose, Alex and Joanne. These kids changed my world this last August when I went on a trip with RUJA ( www.ruja.org) and I need to get back to them.
For as long as I can remember I've had this huge burden for the children of Uganda. Sometimes its so overwhelming my heart actually hurts. I want to hug the little girl with no family and show her what love is. Fix the scrapped knee of the little boy who fell down playing soccer. Wipe the tears of the girl with only rags for clothes and give her a new dress. Provide shoes for the barefoot boy with sores all over his feet. Hold a starving baby and give him a bottle. I want to show those children they are loved and important regardless of their past hurts.I want them to feel the kind of Love God has for them. I want to see their eyes light up! I want to make a difference in the lives of the sweet, sweet children of Uganda. And now, now I have that opportunity to go and spend 3 months doing what I'm passionate about, showing Jesus' love.
This will be my fourth time traveling to Uganda. It will be a little different than my previous trips - I don't look at it as a "mission trip" I look at it as a "life trip," because that's what I'll be doing. Just living life in Uganda, helping at the RUJA house, and loving 5 sweet kiddos, one adorable baby and anyone else who comes along on the way.
The money I raise will go towards living expense for me while I'm there, and also towards RUJA so we can help these kids become world changers.
