On the evening of December 28th, Andrew Rawson, 25-year-old son of our dear friends Rob and Karen Rawson, was seriously injured in a bicycle accident near the family’s home. Andrew had ridden his bike to Kroger and upon coming back into the neighborhood was struck by an oncoming vehicle. He was CareFlighted to Parkland Hospital with critical head trauma where doctors worked diligently on Andrew, but ultimately brain scans showed his injuries were not life sustaining.
The Rawsons have made the decision to donate Andrew's organs to whomever they may benefit and as a result, Andrew will help as many as 40 other people have a longer and more fulfilling life.
The Rawsons are beloved by their extended families in Boy Scout Troop 451 and the Flower Mound High School Color Guard and Marching Band, as well as many others throughout Flower Mound. Because of the overwhelming outpouring of love for this great family, we are expanding our net of support.
This GoFundMe is being created to help cover expenses like bringing Andrew's things back from graduate school in New Mexico and create a tribute to Andrew in the Flower Mound area.
