Hunger Relief in Honduras

Seriously, what do you say to a child who arrives to an HCA class hungry? Not once, not occasionally, but every day. What does it feel like to be that child? To be hungry, not able to concentrate, to be always tired, and to not ever feel full are things that most of us have never experienced, but please take a moment to consider it.

Food insecurity and a lack of protein causes physical stunting and slows intellectual growth. With that in mind, it's essential for our Honduras Child Alliance students to receive a daily protein-filled snack.
Honduras Child Alliance operates educational enrichment programs year-round but as our programs grow, the number of snacks needed grows too. As the kids will be on school break for the next 3 months, past experience affirms that we must prepare for a surge of new students. We need your help!


With 5 groups of children in 3 locations around the community, it currently costs about $250 per month to provide a Healthy Snack to each child in the program. A lip gloss, a cup of coffee . . . would you trade these to help a hungry child?
