Hurricane Maria- Isolated families
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Germán González and live in Puerto Rico. Since September 20, 2017 we have been living one of the most difficult times in our history. Hurricane Maria ripped our island, many homes and many more dreams. Government and private organizations are doing their best but it isn't enough due to Puerto Rico's geography, intrincate road system and the bureaucracy of government and big organizations. All of us have to do something so me and my family, are helping the poorest and the elderly people who doesn't have the means to go to relief distribution points. The are in real critical conditions and are being helped by small groups like us that are capable of going to remote locations or even search multistory buildings to bring them food and water.
We began doing this with our own resources and donations from friends, and also make a coalition with Proyecto Esparciendo Amor (Spreading Love Project). Now I am asking you to sponsor us in this quest to help those that are difficult to reach. From day one after the hurricane we have been opening blocked roads, assisting families in the mainland to find their elder relatives, bringing food and supplies to the elderly, and people without meanings of transportation. The González team have served in different towns; Toa Baja, Barranquitas, Aibonito, Bayamón and yes in San Juan rural areas.
As a family we have no admin costs so your money will go directly to the needy as food, water, supplies, medicine and any other immediate need. Please help us help our brethren.
