Keegan is a 2 year old smart little boy but due to a very rare disorder called juvenile parkinsons dystonia his ability to move and function like a 2 year old has been taken from him. He use to walk run and feed himself but now he crawls to get around and shakes to bad to feed himself without getting frustrated.
Keegan has been seen by 2 pediatricians, family doctor, nerologists as well as the Halifax IWK. They have not seen much of this disorder and are finding it hard to help with something they know little about. We live in a small town called Fredericton New Brunswick.
Recently they tried Keegan on a medication to help him gain back some control of his muscle spasms and tremors but we have not seen any improvement and if anything seem to make the tremors worse.
Keegans mom would like to see Keegan go to Toronto sick kids hospital and be seen by a group of doctors who deal with children with movement disorders.
Keegans mom has recently became a single mother with 2 children Keegan 2 Shyla 3. As you can imagine funds are tight and she wouldn't be able to pay for Keegan to travel to Toronto. Imagine how that makes a mother feel not to be able to get her child the help he so desperately needs.
I will keep this page updated as to how Keegan is doing.
Id like to thank everyone in advance for your help and prayers so Keegan can get the best possible care he can.
