I Started Off With A Limp
Pet Patrol is a volunteer-run, non-profit cat rescue organization in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. All our cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and any health concerns are addressed before they are available for adoption. Hi, my name is Rosa and I don’t know how it happened, but it did. I broke my leg. When I arrived at Pet Patrol it was just me and my brother and we were found outside a business that sells auto parts. We were just kittens and playing in the back amongst cars and recycle bins. The boss was quite worried so he picked us up and brought us into safety at Pet Patrol. Over time they noticed I was walking pigeon toed with my back feet and my left hind leg was sticking out a little bit when I was sitting down. I was still running around and playing and everything seemed fine and then slowly I started to limp and then that leg stuck out even further. Pet Patrol took me to the vet and lo and behold I had a broken leg! What a surprise! It was an old break, and my rescuers didn’t know when or how it actually happened and because I never complained it just got worse. Now it has healed very crooked. When I get older it’s going to cause problems with my hip and knee joints and the vet suggested amputation. I do know that I will be much happier without my leg and continue to be an active and fun loving girl. If you’re able to donate towards me becoming a pretty little tripod kitty it would make my day, thank you for reading my story and helping me. :-)
