Dear Gofundme Friends:
It's hard to say , but Stacy lost her fight with cancer this weekend. She was ready for the fight, but some challenges are just to large to win on this Earth.
She is now in a better place but her husband, daughters and the rest of her family are suffering heartbreak beyond most's understanding. Please keep them in your prayers as they try to find a way forward without her. Thank you all for you contributions to her and her family.............. God bless you Stacy!
Dear Friends,
When Marianne and I first moved to Abilene, our favorite restaurant was Spano's. One of the young waitresses working there was Stacy Sanchez ! This beautiful young lady was an amazing and delightful art major at Mc Murruy University. Stacy immediately won a place in our hearts and we have loved watching her grow into a caring and loving mother, wife and young Wylie ISD art teacher.
We have recently learned Stacy has been diagnosed with cancer. Most of us know the immanent and long term challenges ahead of her and her family along with the tremendous costs compared to an art teacher's salary.
Marianne and I have set up a Go Fund Me account and are asking all of our friends, business associates, social media contacts and those associated with the numerous non-profit organizations in town, from major national organizations to the local orphanages, museums, educational foundations, veteran’s groups, volunteer fire departments and the many more whom we have supported over the years, to please consider donating to this fund.
We all have causes we support and have at one time or another have made, what I believe the nonprofits call "making the ask". That's what we are doing today, "making the ask’ for you to join us in helping Stacy and her family through this challenging time. All donations will be used by Stacy and/or her family for medical, lodging, travel, child care, meals and other expenses directly related to Stacy's illness.
Thanks for your support, donations and prayers.
Sincerely, Randy and Marianne Pool, Abilene,Texas
Note:The process for transferring your donations to Stacy are as follows.
The total of all donations will be wired from Gofundme to our personal bank account ( we will cover all incidental fees incurred to do this) We will then forward those funds by personal check directly to Leslie Ivey. ( Stacy's long time friend and point of contact while Stacy is receiving treatment) and Leslie will coordinated with Stacy and her family the transfer of funds to the appropriate bank or individual of their choice.
