Cakes by Nette Survival Fund

Cakes by Nette is a family owned business.  We moved to Ferguson in May of 2014.  We started out as a home business and made our dream a reality and opened up our storefront.  Our business has been successful just on word of mouth.  With the recent unrest in Ferguson, we have suffered a tremendous loss in business.  While our shop suffered no physical damage and we are structurally still standing, we have lost was is equally important which is customer support. 

We have seen a sudden decline of business because people are afraid to come to Ferguson.  Our foot traffic has dropped at least 60%, we also supplied desserts to two restaurants in Ferguson, but do to the unrest, one was set afire, and the other has cut their order because they are suffering as well.  

I want to remain positive during this time, but it is difficult when we are not seeing the bottom line we need to stay afloat. It almost scares me.  This is my passion, my livlihood.   I love making my customers happy when they see the creations we come up with for them.  I don't want to lose this dream.
