iCandy Dance Studio: Dance 4 Better
Donation protected
Hello everyone I am currently a proud supporter for our local dance organization “iCandy Dance Studios.” My friends started this local dance team here in Augusta to give young girls a positive activity after school. We accept girls with all types of backgrounds, culture, and experience to teach them the fundamentals to become a great dancer while also providing them a chance to create a sisterhood with other girls from around the city.
However while all this does sound nice the truth is this can sometimes be just as difficult a task as it is enjoyable. A majority of our girls come from low income based families who join our program to show their children the world has a lot more to offer than the violence they see every day. We are reaching out to the community for support for these young ladies (6yrs and up) dreams of being the best dancer they can be. We are askng for donations to help support uniforms (which we make ourselves) but the price of materials is still as expensive as purchasing uniforms from a retailer. We are also accepting donations to help fund our studio. This expense alone impacts us greatly due to the fact that our parents are already donating what they can to help. The expenses of rent and utilities for the studio are all coming out of the coach’s pockets. Taking into consideration that our studio is just a building connected to a neighborhood flower shop and the coaches have their own bills, rent, and family to take care of but donate and help out without complaining because of their huge heart and will to support what we stand for. Currently our facility is in need of a few repairs to reach its full potential as dance studio for our dancers. Any contributions to the studio would be really appreciated by not only the parents and staff but the girls as well. Thank you all in advance for helping support these girls as they strive to grow into great dancers but also great young ladies.
