Hi, I'm Sam. I'm a Mum. I also work at a tip.
Yep. I work at a tip, dealing with people's garbage all day, every day. I know how much garbage we as humans produce and it scares me.
So, I did something about it.
I wrote a program to help Pre Schools and Early Learning Centres teach sustainability and waste reduction in a meaningful way to our children, so it becomes "the norm" not just at Pre School, but at home too. My program also helps Educators plan their teaching for the day, because I've done all the research and cross referencing for them. All they have to do, is roll it out!
Soon, our kids are going to inherit the planet.
We need to arm them with the knowledge they will need to ensure their own future - clean energy, food gardening, recycling/upcycling, conservation, biodiversity, weather systems and most importantly, how to grow a local community while also being a global citizen.
I will use the funds I raise to develop and build my programs into a web-based learning system, under the business name iSEE Programs - Integrated Sustainability and Environmental Education Programs.
Eventually, I want to see my programs being used in every Pre School and Early Learning Centre all over the world!
That's the best part about my program - it can be used in any Pre School, anywhere in the world, because it can be easily moulded to meet any framework.
The sooner I can receive funding, the better. It means I can start to make my dream real and really work to build this up.
