Ida B Wells-Barnett Textbook Fund

I am Dr. Stacey Patton, an assistant professor of Multimedia Journalism at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. I am raising money to assist financially-strapped students purchase their textbooks.
Over the last two years I've raised close to $30,000 and have helped scores of students across academic disciplines. Morgan State is an historically-black university. Many of our students are first-generation scholars. Some of them are food insecure, homeless, children of incarcerated parents, or struggling to hold down jobs while studying.
Each student will receive a maximum of $250.00. If we meet the $10,000 goal that means we will be able to help 40 students purchase their textbooks. We order the textbooks directly from either Amazon.com or the Morgan State University Bookstore.
Any amount that you can donate will be much appreciated. Thank you for investing in our future!
