June 9th I will be headed back to Haiti with a group of Amazing People for 2 weeks. People willing to put their lives on hold to love on some incredible kids. My heart is for the children of Haiti, they are the FUTURE, they are the ones that will bring change to their country. Some people ask me why I go all the time? This is where the lord has called me to, this is my purpose & it is a HARD one. It is very emotional with some amazing high points but the low ones are low & heart wrenching.
On my last Trip to Haiti I found alot of things that needed to be fixed, things I can bring a few people & change. CAD is in a shortage of funds for teachers so they have ALOT of people doing alot of jobs for very little pay- $60 a month to be exact. There are a few rooms packed with things that no one has had a chance to get too- things like clothing, sewing machines, vitamins, & everything else you can imagine- ALL things the kids could be using. One of our projects will be organizing these rooms & creating a system to make it easier for the adults, a system where everything is organized from socks to vitamins. That sounds like a little thing but you have NO idea how outrageous & crazy these rooms are- not to mention they are filled with mice :/
We will also be doing Sewing Classes, Art Classes, English Classes- these kids BEG me everytime for English Classes so we are going to do a week of classes for them. We will be getting rid of all the metal cans that will not burn- this is a safety harzard for the kids, We will be doing 2 Farming Classes- 1 advanced & 1 beginner. We will be planting Veggies on CAD property based on the kids knowledge of what they have learned from the class we did last time & the one we will be doing in June. We will be painting the boys ceiling white in their dorms, We will be painting the inside of the boys new closets we had built this last trip. We will be doing a clothing swap- I have put a system in place when I go to visit the kids I meet with each of them & look at all of their clothes & give them new clothes. We will have a career day where we have a few people come in & talk with the kids about what they do & why. We will take the kids to La Caban for dinner & swimming & a lesson from the owners about the business side of owning a hotel. We will take the kids to the beach one day which is something the NEVER get to do. We will be taking the soccer team from CAD to give new uniforms to the Soccer Team in Canaan- a really good lesson on being blessed to be a blessing to others. We have a whole lesson planned with the end result being about The Calling on your life. We will teach the kids about Fear, Forgiveness, Self-Worth, Purpose, Dreams, Trust & Pursuing God. This is ALOT to pack into 2 weeks but I have some incredible people going on this trip & I am super excited about them pouring their hearts into some amazing children.
All funds raised for this trip go to Translators, Transportation, Water for the kids, Propane for the kids, Gas for the CAD Bus (GAS is CRAZY expensive), Clean Drinking Water, Food for the kids, Supplies needed for classes, activities, & projects.
CAD is under alot of Stress right now. Their financial needs are GREAT but God is Greater. Please keep these kids in your prayers & that doors open for them. Please consider donating - every $1 counts & we use it all for these kids! If you are wanting to come, feel free to message me!!
