Help young Humanists get to the 2018 IHEYO General Assembly in New Zealand

IHEYO, or the International Humanist & Ethical Youth Organisation, is the youth branch of IHEU (the International Humanist & Ethical Union) for 18 to 35 year olds.

Each year we meet for a General Assembly around August in a shifting location, and this year it’s in New Zealand. Due to the location, many of us have large travel costs to cover —and for students or recent graduates with little disposable income, it’s a challenge to fund the trip. So we’re asking for your help in order to support the travel and accommodation costs for IHEYO Executive Committee members coming to New Zealand.

Some of our members live in less privileged circumstances—whether by country, upbringing, or current life situation—so the funds would prioritize these members for travel to the General Assembly. Similarly, most of our Member Organizations do not have sufficient funding to able to afford travel to General Assemblies so we seek to support them as well.

Here are the members of our Executive Committee:

Marieke Prien (Germany)

President of IHEYO

Scott Jacobsen (Canada)

Vice-President of IHEYO

Romeo de Bellefroid (Belgium)

Secretary-General of IHEYO

Anya Overmann (USA)

Communications Officer of IHEYO

Kevin Feng (Taiwan)

Asian Working Group Chair for IHEYO

Ariel Pontes (Brazil)

Americas Working Group Chair of IHEYO

Emma Bryce (UK)

European Working Group Chair of IHEYO

Roslyn Mould (Ghana)

African Working Group Chair of IHEYO

We hope you’ll consider donating to our fundraiser as it’s critical to supporting young Humanists who are passionate about creating positive change in our world.
