In Loving Memory of Jenny Santos

Donation protected
Jenny Santos was rare. Her heart was pure, forgiving and open. Anyone who knew Jenny loved her because of her smile, her laugh and her kindness. Jenny was shy at first but once she let you into her world, you never wanted to leave it. If you were loved by her, you were lucky. Her work ethic was admirable. Once she had her mind set on any goal, she didn't stop until she achieved it. She didn't think of time the way most of us did. She never thought, "By 24, I'll have this complete - by 30, that will be complete" and maybe that's why her heart was always full. Concept of time for her was different, more meaningful. Her life was cut tragically short in a way none of us will ever need or want to understand, but there is comfort in knowing that she achieved all of her dreams. She was a doer and a fighter. The way she loved and the way she lived is something that we will always cherish and it will keep us moving forward. We all will live for her now.

Jenny's biggest dream was to graduate with a degree in Physical Education. Those closest to her know how hard all of her classes were, how much she studied, how many times she tried again and again to succeed in state tests and school exams. Her biggest accomplishment was graduating with a BS in Physical Education and finding a job that she was passionate about. When she was hired to work at her first school, the sparkle in her eyes showed; the lightness in her walk was so evident. The sky was the limit for her from there. Her kids loved her and the teachers adored her.

Although she was working as a gym teacher, a crew instructor, and kept her part-time job at Marshalls, Jenny's biggest concern was her college debt. In lieu of flowers we feel that Jenny would most appreciate her biggest worry being taken away. We are asking for donations in helping pay off her student loans.  If the loans are able to be forgiven, the money will be donated towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Jenny.  Jenny will be happy to know that this money could be donated to a cause that was so special to her and so close to home.

Thank you all for the outpour of love towards Jenny.  Jenny was so loved and left an impact on so many lives.  We also appreciate and thank those that have given us space and privacy to heal and cope.  We continue to ask for this, so please if you read articles do not share them.  Many are insensitive and fabricated to be a story.  Jenny was an amazing daughter, sister, friend, coworker and teacher and deserves to be remembered in that light.  When you think of Jenny, we want you to remember her smile, her positivity and her energy; not a headline or a story.  Thank you all.
