In Memory of Beverly E. Carroll

Donation protected
I am Kinyatta Gray, daughter of the late Beverly Esther Carroll. My mom suddenly and tragically passed away on October 21, 2018. I know that I had one of the best mom’s ever and I wanted to find a way to honor her legacy immediately after her funeral. I needed to do something meaningful, impactful, and bigger than myself. And that’s when I remembered that one of my mother’s high points in her life was her missions trip to Kenya in 2005 with other Christian Fellowship Assembly members. The most rewarding part of her trip was meeting a woman named Maggie a woman who created an unofficial orphanage in her home for children who lost their parents to AIDS and other kinds of illness and disease.  She also met a man name Obwiri Kenyatta whom she affectionately referred to as her son who assisted with facilitating communications with Maggie.  My mother was once an orphan so she had a heart for everything that Maggie was doing to help the children.  My mom did what she could to support Maggie financially from the states, but the support eventually came to a stop. I can recall my mother frequently longing to return to Kenya and even more importantly to give to the people of Kenya. Well, mom, this is for you – in your honor, I’m (with the help of others) giving to the people of Kenya. The children in the orphanage in 2005 have all grown up – are in high school and doing well. So, the donations will support the 11 children that Maggie now cares for in her home orphanage.
Thank you for supporting this cause. Blessings to you.
