In Memory of Eric: ALS Fundraiser

Eric von Schaumburg was perfectly healthy and was diagnosed with ALS at age 29 and given 2-5 years to live. As ALS quickly progressed, Eric was unable to speak and living on a breathing tube and ventilator within just 1.5 years. Within a few years, he was completely paralyzed and able to communicate with only his eyes. Eventually, Eric lost control of his eyes due to ALS and was able to communicate only by blinking.
Eric passed away in June of 2023. Despite the progression of the disease, Eric's passion for life and fighters mentality led him to battle ALS for over 10 years. He attributed his ability to fight this disease and, against all odds, live a life of inspirig others while suffering from ALS to his love of life and desire to help others with this awful disease.
In honor of Eric, we would appreciate a donation on his behalf to support ALS research and patients in need. The funds for this campaign will be split up across the 3 ALS non-profit organizations that impacted Eric the most:
