Matthew Dillon Neel
November 22, 2003 - June 13, 2020
Matthew went to be with our Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Saturday, June 13. Anyone who knew Matthew loved him because he exuded love and compassion. He was outgoing and never met a stranger. Matthew lived in Kerrville, Texas with his mom and stepdad and leaves behind many family members who love him dearly.
He excelled at school, and his heart was in music - rap music to be exact. He is also known by his artist names RIOT and Matthew Music. He wrote songs about people and things near and dear to his heart, including his beloved Pops, who passed away almost a year ago. He was an active member of the youth group at Impact Christian Fellowship in Kerrville. Matthew was so excited to go on his first mission trip with the group in July, but COVID-19 interfered, and the trip was postponed.
We do not fully understand the circumstances surrounding Matthew's death, and we are left with many unanswered questions. On top of the unbearable grief is the burden of paying for the funeral costs. If you feel led to help with those costs, you can donate below. Please send prayers to Matthew's mom, stepdad, and his entire extended family.
GoFundMe account setup by Robert and Rebecca Neel on behalf of Matthew's parents, Morris and Suzanne Riddle.
