In memory of Ram Rod Carr

On December 12th the boxing community lost one of the great ones in the shocking tragic passing of Ram Rod Carr.  Rod Carr (48 years) was an Australian fighter and champion both in and out of the ring.  

 To respect the privacy of the Carr family (Sharon, Ryan, and Jake Carr), we do not wish to publish the details surrounding his passsing other than it was sudden, tragic, heartbreaking, and unexpected.  

Boxing is a family.  Fortune Gym is a family.  Both Rod Carr and Jake Carr are members of that family.  We are asking for the boxing community family to rally behind the Carr family at this time.  

Fortune Gym is setting up this campaign to assist the family in the unexpected funeral arrangements and related expenses.  

Jake Carr has been training at Fortune Gym for the past year.  His father has been over to the states to support his son every step of the way.   Jake is currently in flight back to Australia to help his mum and brother in what we can only describe is a gutting, heartbreaking time.  

Our love, thoughts, prayers, and sincere condolences go out to Sharon, Ryan, and Jake Carr.
