Dr. Que Bach Hwang, an optometrist, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2018 at the age of 36 after bravely giving birth to her baby girl at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.
This fund is to support her newborn baby girl, Yena Hwang.

Dr. Que Bach Hwang, an optometrist, passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2018 at the age of 36 after bravely giving birth to her baby girl at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. Dr. Bach was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on May 22, 1982 to Giang Bach and Hoa Nguyen. She graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2013 with a degree in Doctor of Optometry and worked as the staff optometrist for the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center Eye Clinic. On April 22, 2017, she married John Hwang, an engineer who was the love of her life. On December 12, 2018 she gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Yena Que Hwang. Dr. Bach was best known for her radiant smile and sweet nature. She enjoyed floral crafting and traveling; she has traveled across the United States as well as visited foreign countries, and was an amateur photographer. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family who all cherished her, especially by her loving husband John and their newborn daughter Yena. Dr. Bach is survived by her parents, Giang Bach and Hoa Nguyen; her husband, John Hwang; her daughter, Yena Hwang; and her sister, Quyen Bach. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Long Bach; grandmother, Sang Nguyen; her grandfather, Thuyet Nguyen; her grandmother Dau Nguyen.
