In the Memory of Kevin Moreno

We’re heartbroken to share that on the morning of February 7, 2019, Kevin Moreno was taken from us. He was hit by a train as he was walking to his mom’s work just before he himself was going to head to work. We are comforted to know that the impact took him instantly so he likely felt no pain. As you can imagine, we are devastated at the loss of this light of our lives.
He was so kind, athletic and so handsome with a beautiful, beautiful smile. Kevin and his father had a deep connection, especially over their love of soccer. His mother loved and adored him and would do anything to ensure he was happy. While quiet, Kevin was also very funny. He was a sweetheart and a friend who would always be there for you with no judgment. He was ready to learn and ready to start flying in his life. He was ready to finally and fully be himself and be a massive contribution to the world.
Kevin was helpful and protective and reminded his brothers to be responsible. Along with his brothers and cousins, they played video games and soccer together. He and his sister, no matter what happened, had each other’s backs and would always encourage each other to be the best version of themselves possible. Kevin was humble with a huge heart that was full of love for his family. Above all he was just a great, kind, well-mannered young man. Everyone loved him and we had such high hopes for his future. Although we can assure you he will live forever with each of us, he was taken from us way too soon; we are at a loss as to what our lives will look like without him in it.
In addition to this unexpected loss, we were not prepared for what would be required to give Kevin the completion and celebration of his life that he deserves. Any donation that you can provide will make a huge difference to our family and we would be so grateful.
