Injured LaGrange Firefighters

Donation protected
On Monday, September 3rd the LFD responded to a house fire at 2:50 a.m. to the 300 block of Revis Street.  The crews were battling the fire when the house "flashed over" with fire quickly erupting.  The firefighters were forced to escape quickly. They had to jump out of windows to escape.
Four of the firefighters had to be taken to the Grady Memorial Hospital burn unit due to receiving second and third-degree burns. Those firefighters were Josh Williams, Jonathan Williamson, Pete Trujillo and Jordan Avera.

Most of these men rely on a second job to help provide for their families. While they are recovering, they will not be able to work these jobs while their families will bear the burden of extra expenses as they travel back and forth to Atlanta.
Let’s support their families by helping with expenses that will occur over the next several weeks and months such as travel, lodging, food and medical. Please keep these guys, all of the LaGrange Fire Department and their families in your prayers.

The LaGrange Fire Department is dear to our heart. My husband, Mike Foster, worked with these guys 9 years and if you’ve ever been in a job like this you know everyone becomes family to your family. We’re still here in LaGrange and want to help out how ever possible to relieve some of the burdens these guys and their families will face. All funds raised here will be withdrawn by me and split and given on all of your behalf to Josh, John, Pete and Jordan.

Thank you for standing behind these guys!
