In Loving Memory of Ahmed Jah

We birth sons not knowing if we'll burry them before they burry us.
On Sunday 2nd April 2017 my baby cousin was MURDERED! Ahmed was a beautiful soul with great ambition and a bright future ahead of himself. He walked to the shop in the early hours of the afternoon to buy a drink from his local corner shop where he was murdered!
Ahmed told his parents he was going to BJ Wines in Freemasons Road to buy a can of fruit juice at 3.30pm, thereafter he was set upon by a gang of men and ruthlessly stabbed in the chest. He died minutes after being knifed inside the off-licence on a shopping precinct less than 50 yards from his family home in Canning Town, East London.
Ahmed was a very energetic spirit who cared deeply for his family, he had plans to start a construction apprenticeship from September, and build an amazing life for himself, one his family would be proud of. He was a beautiful, kind boy. He wanted to do something with his life. Now we have lost him. He didn’t deserve for this to happen. His family don’t deserve this pain. NO family deserves this heartache!
His life was carelessly ripped away from him! He left behind a community who loved him dearly! Ahmed has left behind 3 siblings; his baby brother cannot believe what has happened. He keeps on trying to ring Ahmed’s phone praying he will pick up. His mother keeps calling for him hopeful he will walk through the front door and their lives can go back to normal.
Knife crime continues to destroy families and communities every day! This needs to STOP! We need to feel safe in our communities again! Too many of our brothers are falling victim to senseless killing, their lives being stripped and stolen from them one senseless death after the other! Our sons, brothers, fathers are being reduced to nothing but daily hashtags!
I have set up this page to help raise funds towards supporting Ahmed’s family, to give him the beautiful send off he deserves. I am sure as a community we can come together and spare a donation, no matter how small, to show love and support for this beautiful family in their time of need.
Funds will be given to the Jah family to help with funeral costs and help the family through their healing. Money will not bring this beautiful soul back but it will certainly relieve some strain from his grieving family. No donation is too small! Please donate what you can thank you.
