Inmate Blogger is ready to become the worldwide leader in inmate blogging.
Please check it out at: inmateblogger.com
This site is a collection of blogs written by men & women in prison. It serves as a platform which allows them to share their stories, opinions, talents, and their inner thoughts. You can lock up a man, but you can’t lock up their mind. Blogging is such a positive alternative when compared to all the misconduct that goes on within prison. Writing is a great activity that promotes rehabilitation, growth, and healing.
We have over 700 inmates and over 4,000 blog posts so far. We do not charge them any kind of fee for blogging on InmateBlogger. We volunteer our time and give our hearts to this cause.
It's now time to scale up nationwide. We want to give EVERY inmate in the US the opportunity to have a voice through blogging.
HOW INMATES BLOG
Inmates send us their posts via email. We then cut & paste their writing onto inmateblogger.com
WHY WE NEED FUNDS
To pay for estamps so that we can email the inmates. Each email costs 1 estamp.
Inmates are able to email through a company called JPay . Jpay charges $10 for 60 estamps. Jpay is available in 35 states, and each state has approximately 20 facilities that we want to reach. That's 700 facilities!
Inmate Blogger will send an introduction letter to 60 inmates in each one of those 700 facilities. That's 42,000 inmates!
We know those 60 inmates will spread the word throughout the entire facility. Inmates love to gossip and share exciting news with each other.
The cost of emailing 60 inmates in each of those 700 facilities is $7000.
Please help us to reach our goal so that we can give more inmates a voice. They will benefit so much by being able to write on InmateBlogger.com.
We believe that writing can be very therapeutic and healing.
We appreciate your donations.
Your support means so much!
Thank you.
