International Indian Treaty Council

Tax deductible
The International Indian Treaty Council was founded in June 1974 at a gathering on the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota, attended by more than 5000 representatives from 98 Indigenous Nations. IITC has evolved over the decades, but has continued to have sustained success in defending the rights of Indigenous Peoples through the involvement of committed, and passionate Indigenous Leadership in community and international platforms.

EXCITING NEWS!

After 44 years of activism and advocacy for the rights of Indigenous Peoples, the International Indian Treaty Council has entered a new phase. Based in San Francisco, California for many years, we are now expanding to a permanent home in Tucson, AZ!  In April of this year, through the generosity of two donors who provided the down payment, IITC was able to purchase for the first time in our history, a building to plant our roots in and lay a firm foundation for many years to come. This office will serve as the base for IITC’s work along with our long-standing office in San Francisco. We are so thankful for our donors, friends, family and support networks who have helped make this amazing accomplishment possible!

WHAT WE NEED AND HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Our current goal is to raise $44,000 in honor of our 44th Year Anniversary which will greatly help us in this new phase of our development. We invite you to become a partner in this major step forward for IITC. Your tax-deductible donation, large or small, will greatly help our work to continue defending the rights of Indigenous Peoples and working with our local communities in Tucson and around the world. Also, if you can share our cause and campaign with your networks and like-minded allies, it will be greatly appreciated!

IN GRATITUDE:

Defending Human Rights, Environmental Health, Treaties and Standard Settings and Food Sovereignty are our priority program areas. We are so blessed to have this office as a permanent base to carry out these important programs for Indigenous Peoples. Your support will be used to continue building our sustainability for many years into the future.
