Iouioukine Family Tragedy

Donation protected
On Monday June 25, 2018 news broke of a St. Louis cab driver that was carjacked then shot to death while on the job.

This man is Boris Iouioukin, a smart, hardworking, family man that immigrated from Russia to provide a better life for his family.

In the late 1980's Boris, his wife Elena and their 2 children, Slava and Anna, moved to America to live the American dream. Elena worked hard to get a nursing degree, Boris got a job driving a cab, and the children did well in school.

Then things started to fall apart.

Boris grew ill with cancer, the bills mounted, and they struggled to keep their little house. Still, they remained determined and optimistic. Neither parent ever asked for help, or wanted pity.

After Elena helped nurse Boris back to health, she herself developed cancer and tragically lost her battle in 2008. Boris continued his cab service to make ends meet.

A week ago, his American dream ended when his cab was carjacked, and he was shot and left to die in the street.

We, who are friends of this family are asking for help with funeral expenses, and to pay off long-standing debts that will allow the children to keep their family home and continue to pursue their parent's dream for them.
