Tim's Ireland Lacrosse Internship
Tax deductible
Hello I hope you are having a great day! My name is Timothy Austin and I am currently a student at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA where I study Sport Management and play lacrosse. Ever since I began playing the sport I have grown a tremendous love and passion for the game as it has provided me with so many amazing experiences, life lessons, and friendships that I know will last a lifetime! I am hoping that I can help give back and try and help others receive the same positive experience from the sport that I had!
I hope to acheive this through partnering with Ireland Lacrosse (a 501c volunteer organization) as an intern to help grow the game I have come to love. I traveled to Baltimore this past January to assist Ireland Lacrosse in their fundraising efforts. As a result I was one of the lucky four candidates to be selected for the internship program with Ireland's National Indoor Lacrosse Team and will be traveling to Turku, Finland this July to serve as they compete in the first ever European Box Lacrosse Championships!
Another reason I have chose to work with Ireland Lacrosse would be my family! My Grandfather was born and raised in Clonmel, Tipperary Ireland before he moved to the United States. Although I unfortunately never got a chane to meet y grandfather before he passed, this internship gives me a great opportunity to connect to my Irish heritage as well as helping o grow the game Iove.
As an Intern I will be completing various tasks such as assisting the coaching staff, scouting, as well as promoting and helping to share the teams experiences in Finland! I hope to use the valuable experience to learn and help jumpstart my own career in helping to grow the sport of lacrosse internationally! Thank you for your time and for your assistance in helping to grow the game!
