Irv Dotten: A Cambridge Legend
Donation protected
Cambridge is hurting. We lost a big piece of our community on Saturday. We all knew IRV DOTTEN as the original class clown. With his contagious smile and infectious laugh, Irv instantly brought positive energy to any room he entered. His connection to Cambridge was real. He had a way about him that made you feel your connection to him was special. Irv had a nick name for EVERYONE because it was rare that he called you by your real name. That’s just the kind of guy he was.
Irv was a legend and a bright light in our community. He inspired countless young people in the classroom, on the basketball courts and youth centers across the city. Everyone loved him…and I mean everyone! The magnitude of his involvement, connection and pure influence in the Cambridge community is immeasurable.
We will never forget how you, Irv, made us feel when we were in your presence and in your absence, we will continue to carry out your influence.
If Irv had an impact on your life, your child’s life or made you smile, please donate to help support the family and his funeral expenses. We appreciate whatever you can give, no amount is too small.
