"Hello, my name is Isabella.  I am turning 9 in January of 2016 and for my birthday I would like to raise money  to help a special young boy in my school.   His name is Dunia."  

Dunia is 8 years old, from the Republic of Congo who suffered and survived a chimpanzee attack.  His face has been extremely disfigured, losing both top and bottom lips and has severe scarring to the right side of his face.   He is unable to fully close his mouth causing great difficulty with speaking, eating and drinking.  He has also come to this country seriously malnourished and abandoned by his family.  His younger brother was killed in the attack.  

"He is not in my grade but I see him in the school halls and want to do all that I can to give him a better life."

Dunia is in need of multiple reconstructive surgeries, clothing, temporary housing, and financial donations to help with his care.  We are hoping to raise enough money to aide with his care now but also be able to send him to a better school when he returns to the Congo.

"Please help me raise money to help Dunia.  I am asking that for my birthday this year, in lieu of gifts,  my family and friends can donate to help Dunia."
