iScribble Site Renewal

On the 5th of August  2018 iScribble.net is transferring ownership into the hands of a long-time iScribble user. Their plan is to rejuvenate and renew iScribble, transforming it into a modern, updated version.

In its current state, iScribble will be laid to rest, but not gone forever.

The renewal of iScribble will take time, and require a team effort from the community. Our motivation is to create an experience that best caters to the community.

We humbly ask the iScribble community to consider donating to help offset costs associated with running and renewing iScribble. The use of iScribble has always been that of a free service, and we want the service itself to remain free.

The first and foremost goal for iScribble is to become self-sustaining. Other objectives for iScribble include:

- Rebuilding the code to meet today’s standards. This will make it easier for new implementations and updates to happen in future.

- Redesign of the client interface and the website. While we understand the current look is nostalgic and precious to some, we also want to improve on the design. The shift in technology will also present new opportunities.

-The creation of an implementation/feature list. This will help us prioritize what our next steps are and what kind of features may be added.

We understand that much of this is sudden as we were forced to act swiftly upon finding out about iScribble's current situation. It's been a crazy last few days where the main goal we focused on was to act on ideas that would help make the transition as painless as possible. One of these ideas was to host this gofundme and to already make people aware while iScribble is still being discussed

There is a lot of information to process and a very general outline of what we would like to accomplish. We hope you can be patient while we attempt to figure out our own situation, and it may take some time before we can feel like things are on track. We'll try our best to communicate what we do know and what's happening. So with that in mind and to be clear...

We'd like to be as transparent as we can about what is going on. The finances acquired from crowdfunding will only be spent when a detailed enough business plan is drawn up to ensure the safety of the community’s investments. We'll also try to communicate and report about crowdfunding costs regularly, releasing these details into public view

We promise to operate with the community's best interests in mind.  That being said, there will be times we cannot promise on adding certain features or tools if the priority is set for other things.

We will be sensitive to any feedback we receive and will consider all suggestions given. We look forward to the moment where things can run smoothly for users and the development cycle we would like to adopt, where we then can focus on creating the best experience possible.
