Islanders Hockey Club 04 "Q" Bound

Donation protected

Dear Family and Friends,

Every kid who picks up a hockey stick dreams of one day playing in the Quebec International Hockey Tournament.

And now, those dreams are coming true for a group of 12 year old boys from the Islanders Hockey Club, who play out of the Gallant Arena at Merrimack College in North Andover.

The '04 Islanders Hockey Club  Pee Wee Elite Team has qualified and been invited to represent the Eastern Hockey Federation as one of the U.S. Teams in this prestigious event.  Often referred to as the "Q," this tournament is held in Quebec City from Feb. 8th to Feb. 19th, 2017.

The "Q" is the hockey equivalent to the Little League World Series and is considered the pinnacle of youth hockey.

The "Q" is annually attended by more than 2,250 players from 16 different countries.  It is the oldest youth hockey tournament, featuring the most talented 12 yr old hockey players in the world.  More than 1,400 NHL players have played in this historic event, including Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.

This group of talented young men have worked extremely hard over the years to get to this point.  They have won 3 consecutive League Championships and, are now, the first Islanders Hockey Club Team to earn their spot in this tournament by ranking as one of the top teams in the Eastern Hockey Federation, one of the most competitive hockey leagues in the country.

This will be a very expensive endeavor, as the team and their families will stay in Quebec City over the course of the tournament's 11 days.

We would graciously and humbly accept any contributions to help our families defray the costs that are required in order to achieve this exciting and hard-earned opportunity!!
