Our dear friend, Thomas, unexpectedly started experiencing seizures recently. The love of his life, Felicia, recognized what was going on with him, and took him to the hospital. To our dismay, Thomas' brain scan indicated that he had a cancerous tumor in the frontal lobe. Last week, he underwent surgery to remove the tumor.
Highly skilled surgeons informed us that the tumor did not originate from the frontal lobe location, and must have originated from elsewhere. Further scans of Thomas' body shows that he has multiple spots on his lungs. Pathology reports confirmed that the surgeons were correct...Thomas was diagnosed with stage 3 choriocarcinoma...also known as testicular cancer that has metastasized to other parts of his body.
Thomas has a very difficult road ahead, but he is strong, motivated, and optimistic about his future. He is fighting for the love of his life, Felicia, and the for his young children, in which he absolutley adors.
Thomas has already received surgery to remove the tumor from his brain, but he must now undergo chemotherapy treatment, as well as radiation to minimize, reduse, and eliminate the cancer that has spread through his body.
Thomas is an incredible individual. He has served in the military and was on the path of obtaining training and education in becoming a correctional officer, while in addition to working to provide for his family. As a result of his prognosis, he lost his job and had to put his education and training on hold. The financial burdeon weighs heavily on Felicia, as she cannot do it alone, and Thomas is in no state to be working right now while undergoing treatment.
We ask that you please consider giving anything that you can. Thomas is dedicated and motivated to beat testicular cancer. Any contributions given will be used to help alleviate the financial strain that this puts on him and his family. #ittakesballstosurvivetesticularcancer #myballsarentbluetheyreorchid #savetheballs
