Ivelina's fight - too young to die
Donation protected
One year and a half has gone by since the moment Ivelina was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) at the age of 26. Today, the fight has only become more arduous and exhausting for her and her family. After a couple of unsuccessful courses of chemo in her home town in Bulgaria, she was transferred to another hospital for further treatments. Earlier this year she underwent allogeneic stem cell transplantation in Turkey.
To everyone’s dismay, the stem cell transplantation also resulted in dubious and unsatisfactory results – cancer is still detected in her body. Her doctors are now recommending further chemical treatment with ADCETRIS® (brentuximab vedotin) - treatment option for post-transplantation patients with a high possibility of relapse. Her condition requires an overall of 16 doses, one every 21 days.
The expenses this time have proven too high for her family. They have spent all of their savings and exhausted all possible financial resources looking for treatments.
Any help – personal or anonymous, big or small would be greatly appreciated. There’s still a chance to save her young life and to see her smile again.
Please, share with friends, family, coworkers, and on social media. Every single dollar counts.
On behalf of Ivelina’s family, we thank everyone who takes the time to share and contribute!
