Supporting IVY Member Sophie Yu

Recently, fellow IVY Member Sophie Yu was involved in a tragic subway accident resulting in severe injuries. We're using this page to provide a way for members (and non-members) to support Sophie's physical therapy after the hospital treatment, as well as her long term disability challenges. All of the proceeds will go to Sophie and her family, and we encourage all members to donate – even if it's as little as $10.
The IVY Team has made an initial donation of $1,000.

"On March 8, 2017, in New York City, Sophie was waiting for #6 train on 51st Street when she fainted and fell onto the tracks while the train was coming into the station. Sophie was saved by rescue workers. However, she sufferred life changing injuries, losing one arm and one leg.
Sophie will endure long medical treatment and physical rehabilitation. She has had many surgerical procedures since the accident. She is a very brave, strong and courageous girl, and is very grateful for her life.
Sophie graudated from The University of Pennsylvania in 2013 and moved to Manhattan to pursue her career in the financial industry in. She is 25 years old.
