Treon Goossen's Medical Bills
Donation protected
My name is Dean Goossen. I'm a retired Calvary Chapel minister and still working in the Telecommunications field, something I have done for the past 40 years. You won't believe the chain of events that have happened to us over the last several years. Let me give you a little background.
My wife, Treon Goossen, dedicated her life to being a pastor's wife, mother of seven wonderful children, and volunteer lobbying at the state level for Homeschooling freedoms in the State of Colorado. We discovered in late 2014 that she was suffering from stage 3 liver cancer. (And this is on top of recovering from a torn rotator cuff injury incurred while working at Wal-Mart.) We also found that we faced possible bankruptcy due to medical bills, so I cashed out my retirement fund to try to pay off enough debt to stay financially afloat. This resulted in a huge tax burden in addition to the medical bills.
Treon has elected to go the alternative medicine route (something she did 15 years ago when she successfully defeated bowel cancer) so even if she was insured the insurance will not pay for an alternative practitioner nor will it pay for the special treatments that she needs to purchase. She recently had a biopsy that showed her with stage 4 pancreatic cancer which has spread to the liver. She is a fighter and has beat cancer once, and she fully intends to beat it again! And after all, God is greater and He is the Great Physician!
The money will be used to pay off her ongoing medical bills. She is on oxygen and will require home care.
We need these funds to begin paying down the medical bills. Of course, the medical bills will be ongoing for some time.
This would mean so much to us because with all of the medical battles she is facing right now she really doesn't need to have to deal with the financial strains as well. Treon has served tirelessly for years as a pastor's wife and also doing volunteer lobbying at the state Capitol so that thousands of people could enjoy schooling their children at home without stringent state interference and harassment. Your gifts would truly be a blessing and will help us out of very trying circumstances!
I can't possibly tell you how much your help would be! I thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart! This would be going to help a woman who is beautiful inside and out, who has given tirelessly of her time and energy to the community. She is the love of my life, and I want to do everything possible to see her back on her feet, healthy and energetic again. And even more than that, I covet your prayers for her! May God richly bless you as you give.
