Help Me Get a New Art Tablet
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Katherine; you may know me as Rocket or Cy in certain circles. I'm a beginning amateur artist that wants to pursue a future in illustration, and I need your help.
Recently I found that my tablet, a Wacom Bamboo Create, that I've had for years now, has stopped working. (I made it my cover photo--note how it's plugged in, but the light has not come on.) I rely on my tablet to create my art, and without it, I'm able to do very little in terms of my medium. I'm a digital/render artist, and without my tablet, I'm both unable to draw from scratch, or effectively clean up any renders I've made in post. All of the equipment I use to create is very old, aside from my computer--and even then, it's aging. Regardless, the most important part of my art is the device that allows me to create it.
I'm going to use the funds I receive to purchase the tablet, and only the tablet. Any extra will either go into savings to prepare myself for the future, such as professional art classes; or, if I find that I won't need it more than others, to charity. I believe in helping people and giving back where I can. While I usually do this with my art, extra funds wouldn't hurt either.
Support would mean the world to me. This will be my livelihood for a long time; a lot of the income I make, no matter how sparse, is through my art. I'm in a very hard point of my life right now, and art is both a way to get income along with relieve stress and keep myself going.
I will be forever grateful if you're able to help. Every cent helps. No matter how small or large the donation, I express my utmost gratitude to those who choose to help. Thank you.
