Send Pedro on the East Coast Trip

Hello my name is Pedro Ruiz. I am an 8th grade student that attends Graham Middle School in Mountain view, California. I have the opportunity in participating in an East Coast trip this April, where only few students get to go. I have been allowed to go on the trip because of my grades, which my teachers have recognized  as reflective of a good student. The East Coast trip will be beneficial for me, it will allow me to learn more about my country's history up close and personal. If I go, the trip it will be my first time ever going to another state. This will be my opportunity to visit somewhere else besides my hometown, which no one in my family has done before. However, there is one major problem. I am lacking the proper funds that are needed to go on the trip. My family lives in a very expensive area, and we recently moved to a new city because of the high rent. I try to help my parents anyway possible, including helping work with my uncle and getting money to help pay for our family bills. I do this on the weekends, and have still maintained a 3.8 GPA. It is difficult for me to ask, but I have very little options. I need to raise a total of $1600 in order to attend the trip this April. Please, if you are able to provide a donation it would be greatly appreciated. I never thought that an opportunity like this, would ever be possible for a kid like myself. Please, if you can help in anyway, it will help me realize a dream of traveling to my historical places our country has to offer.
