My Dad’s Cancer Treatments

Three weeks ago, my dad was sent to the hospital for serious breathing problems. Over the course of these three weeks, he was given a biopsy. In the biopsy, the doctors found a large cancerous mass covering the upper lobe of his left lung. The doctors also found a cancerous mass in his left kidney. Two weeks ago, they diagnosed him with 3a Small Cell Lung Cancer. My dad’s type of cancer is not operable. The doctors have decided that radiation and chemotherapy would be the best source of treatment in hopes of making the masses smaller so that my dad can breathe painlessly. Last week my dad started his first few sessions, and now he will be going to radiation 5 times a week for 4 weeks and chemotherapy 3 times a week every 3 weeks for 4 months. I am asking for anyone that is able to, to help my dad with his treatments. His medical insurance does not cover the treatments and since my dad is unable to work, we do not have a source of income. Anything is greatly appreciated and we continue to ask for prayers in hopes of a miracle.
