Jack Ryan Edwards

"Those of you that know my family knows the sacrifices both my parents have made for all of us.  This account was set up with Chase and Jack Ryan's education, inclusion and future care in mind.  Special needs programs are underfunded, especially for special needs adults.  My parents were hesitant to allow this to be set up, but so many people have reached out asking how to help! The purpose of this fundraiser is to help the Edwards family as they continue to provide ongoing care for two Autistic, adult children, Jack Ryan who is seventeen and Chase who is twenty-six.  Jack Ryan will begin to look for opportunities to join the workforce soon.  Chase over the past few years has sometimes struggled to find employment and inclusion. After much support, Chase recently experienced some success in the workforce with office / clerical work.

The joy that the family has experienced over the last few days of Jack Ryan working with Jordan is my main reason for wanting to help Jack Ryan, Chase, and the entire Edwards' family. 

Maureen (Beanie) and Sid have always raised two families.  Not only have they raised their own children, two of which are Autistic, as well as the thousands of young men and women that they have worked with through their professional jobs.  Sid has coached high school and other sports teams since he was sixteen years old and is currently the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Central High School in Louisiana.  Beanie is also a teacher, who currently teaches Special Education at the same school.

Those that know the family knows the sacrifices and struggles that the family has endured to make it through everyday life so that many other children can find success and comfort in their lives while continuing to live their daily lives at home with Chase and Jack Ryan.

It is my hope that the money that is raised can help to provide Jack Ryan and Chase with key essentials that will help to improve their lives. Things such as technology-based learning tools, training, and other items that would help them in the everyday world.
