Jackie Smalls

Hi Everyone! We are here to raise money for our dear, sweet and wonderful Jackie Smalls.  For all of you who know Jackie, you know that she is a selfless person who has dedicated her life to caring for others.  She has cared for many  of our children through the difficult years, aging parents through the painful years, and the rest of us with all of our emotions as we try to figure things out.  ...and always with a smile and a spare hug.

The families of Joan Walsh and Kathleen Packard would like to share our experience.  Jackie took care of Joan and later Kathleen (Joan's sister-in-law) both suffering with Alzheimer.  Her love for them was immense. They considered her a best friend, a nurse and a presence they always wanted.  She was with Joan and her eight children until the day she died. When Joan passed Jackie noticed that we had not put her earrings and necklace on - she and her daughters did that.

Today, we need to group together for Jackie.  She has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.  Recently, she had a lumpectomy, then another lumpectomy and finally a full mastectomy.  Jackie has a long, tortuous and bumpy road ahead of her.  She'll make it for one main reason...she's Jackie Smalls, she's our angel and her spirit is incredible.  She's faced with not working, mounting medical expenses while recovering and caring for her family (who also care for her!).

We need to raise $50,000 for Jackie, and we need to raise it over the next month.  Please do your best and dig deep.  We are all blessed in some way and this is our time to share and help.
